For our nonrussian speaking colleagues<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 8-10 May, 2010 in Kiev (Ukraine) in honor of 65th anniversary of the victory in Great Patriotic War will be held International Living History Festival \u201cGreat Victory. 1945\u201d. The main organizers of the event are: Youth Public Organisation \u00abRed Star\u00bb, Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, State Tax Administration, A. Dovzhenko National Film Studion .<\/p>\n

More than 700 representatives of different living history clubs and groups from Ukraine, Russia. Belorussia, Czech Republic, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will take part in this event. During the festival events plenty of military technique of epoch of the Second World War \u2013 aviation, tanks, armored cars, artillery cannons, vehicles and motorcycles will be involved.<\/p>\n

During the events spectators will learn tactical, uniforms, equipment and armament of Armed forces of USSR, USA, Great Britain, Czechoslovakia as well as Germany, Italy, Romania and other countries \u2013 participants of WWII.<\/p>\n

The reconstruction of one of the last day of the war, which happened in May 1945, in the district of the czech small town Budeyovicy, will be shown. During this fight the large detachment of german troops was trying to break through the frontline of soviet troops to reach the area occupied by soviet allies \u2013 US and UK troops.<\/p>\n

Events Schedule<\/p>\n

May 7 \u2013 8, 2010. Kiev, mototrack \u00abPirogovo\u00bb \u2013 arrival and registration of participants, accommodation in living history field camps, field and unit inspections, official \u201cfall in\u201d and opening of the festival.<\/p>\n

May 8, 2010. Kiev, mototrack \u00abPirogovo\u00bb — field construction of the battlefield, drills exercises, CO and XO meeting, tactical training of scenario on the battlefield and on the map.<\/p>\n

May 9, 2010. Kiev, Kreschatick — Youth Public Organisation \u00abRed Star\u00bb takes part in official military parade in honor of 65th anniversary of the victory in Great Patriotic War and is responsible of historical part of the parade. Honours to take part in a parade as the members of joint motorized platoon of Red Army will be awarded to the best living history groups and clubs of Ukraine and other states.<\/p>\n

May 9, 2010. Kiev mototrack \u00abPirogovo\u00bb \u2013 memorial mass meeting in honor of 65th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War. Excursions for schoolboys and military cadets on the military historical field camps. Exhibition of military vehicles. Official supper, concert of front song, show of fashions \u201cSeason Spring 1945 year\u201d.<\/p>\n

May 10, 2010. Kiev mototrack \u00abPirogovo\u00bb — the reconstruction of living history battlefight. Official closing of the festival. Displacing of the living history field camps and departure of the participants.<\/p>\n

Important information for the members.<\/strong><\/p>\n

ALL living history clubs and groups of WWII reenacting are welcome to take a part in the festival on condition they are agree with rules of leadthrough of living history events (accepted in YPO \u00abRed Star\u00bb) and follow the \u2018principle of authentity\u201d.<\/p>\n
